What to expect on your first visit WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT: For many people here in Asia, Chiropractic is a new Art and Science and many of our new patients have questions or concerns about their first visit. We have therefore created this page to give you a better insight and hopefully answer some questions you may have. The biggest concern most new patients have is: “Will it hurt?” and the answer is no, it actually feels great! We are aware that you are most likely in pain when you are reading this and it is only natural to be afraid of anything that could potentially increase your pain. If you read through our testimonials, you will see that our treatments feel comfortable and many people leave our clinic feeling better even after just one visit. Another concern most new patients have is: “Will I have to come for the rest of my life? The answer to that one is simple as well. Our first responsibility is to help you with you presenting health complaint. Once you reach a stage where you are pain free you can decide how you would like to handle your health care. Some of our patients feel so great that they want to come see us periodically for overall wellness, while others choose to discontinue their treatment once they are out of pain. If you are coming by car or taxi, our building is also known as the Standard Chartered Bank Building, located the Fullerton Hotel and UOB plaza 1 and 2. Parking is available in the building or at the Fullerton Hotel. Click to View Large Map Are preparations necessary? ARE PREPARATIONS NECESSARY? The answer is no. Just come the way you are. It does not matter if you have just eaten or what stage of the hormonal cycle you are in. Are x-rays needed? ARE X-RAYS REQUIRED? We don’t routinely require x-rays, thus we can get started on the treatment immediately. Should we think that you have sustained a serious injury or that there is an underlying condition that requires an x-ray then we will let you know at that time. The majority of our patients do not require and X-ray or MRI at this time. Should we find that your condition is not responding well to treatment, then we can always go ahead and x-ray at that time. Since radiation is harmful to your body, we only require it when absolutely necessary. How long will it take? HOW LONG WILL THE FIRST VISIT TAKE? Please allow 30-45 minutes for your first visit. Follow up visits are fairly quick and take approximately 15 visits each time. HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED? This will depend on your age, severity of your condition and how long you have had it. Some patients will recover quickly, while in others it will take some time. A lot as to do with your body’s ability to health. Generally speaking we will schedule a course of 10 treatments and then re-evaluate your condition and progress from there.
